Background

Tom has 15 years of HR and Change Management experience dealing with a broad variety of issues including recruitment, organizational development, training, succession planning, survey programs, and creating competence-based development programs to support Nationalization programs. He was also selected as HR Professional of the Year for 2005 for the Middle East during the HR Summit in September at Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

During the last 10 years his work has focused on the Oil & Gas Industries within the Middle East Region where he has worked for Saudi Aramco, Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd. (GASCO) and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC).

Tom publishes HR, Leadership & Management articles and his work is found in numerous professional journals including: Strategic HR Review, ISO Management and Human Assets Middle East magazine.

To support the HR profession and regional HR initiatives Tom is a regular speaker at local and regional conferences, such as, the Annual Career Development Conferences, Middle East HR Summits, Competency Based HR Conferences, HR Measurement Forums and Saudi Arabian Armed Forces Medical Conference.

His education includes a Bachelor's in Vocational Education & Training from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, where he graduated "Magna cum Laude" with a 3.914 GPA. He also obtained a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management & Development from Chapman University in Orange, California, where he graduated with a 3.882 GPA.

Tom is also an outdoor enthusiast who loves climbing, sailing, trekking, roller blading, kayaking and biking.
